Abstract

|
Among the mesenteric cysts, the solid tumor is uncommon. A new case is presented. A sixteen month old female infant was admitted with clinical picture of acute intestinal obstruction. At laparotomy, an apple-sized solitary solid mass, attached to the mesenteric root of proximal ileum, was enucleated completely without any resection of adjacent intestine. Fibromyxoma with extensive hemorrhage was the final diagnosis.
Literatures on the subject are reviewed.
